<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of interruption in a reception-side communication apparatus, and notify of interruption by the reception-side communication apparatus at an optimum timing while keeping timeliness of the interruption. <P>SOLUTION: The packet communication system includes a transmission-side communication apparatus 10 and a reception-side communication apparatus 20. The transmission-side apparatus 10 sets interruption control information in a generated packet and transmits it to the reception-side communication apparatus 20.
