PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst body for quickly decomposing a volatile aromatic compound present in a vapor phase, and a functional product of a photocatalyst employing the photocatalyst body.

SOLUTION: The photocatalyst body for decomposing a volatile aromatic compound present in a vapor phase, including tungsten oxide particles and titanium oxide particles having a BET specific surface area at least three times greater than that of the tungsten oxide particles, is characterized in that an electron withdrawing substance or its precursor is supported at least by either the tungsten oxide particles or the titanium oxide particles. The functional product of a photocatalyst is characterized by including a photocatalyst body layer formed of the photocatalyst body, disposed on the surface of a substrate.
