PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a disc spring which prevents the occurrence of cracks at a welded section and has sufficient quality as a product from a metal strip. SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing the disc spring, the metal strip 10 is bent to form a ring and end parts 12 and 14 are connected to each other. An electron beam 26 is irradiated in a defocused state to a welded section 20 along a crosswise direction of the metal strip 10. Next, a focal point 28 of the electron beam 26 is focused onto a weld-melted section 25 to execute electron beam welding. Subsequently, the electron beam 26 is irradiated in the defocused state to the welded section 20 along the crosswise direction of the metal strip 10, and the weld-melted section is further cooled. Thereby, the average of the dendrite secondary arm spacing of the weld-melted section is kept within a range of 7 to 30 μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
