PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having odor removal means highly efficiently removing malodor produced from dust accumulated in a dust collection unit and suppressing the lowering of the dust collecting efficiency due to a pressure loss to the minimum. SOLUTION: A suction port unit 3 has a connection port to a suction hose. The dust collection unit 4 has a metal mesh 5 communicating with the suction port unit 3 and collecting dust of a prescribed dimension or more. A HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter storage unit 16 has a HEPA filter 7 communicating with the dust collection unit 4 and collecting dust smaller than the prescribed dimension. A suction power unit 9 is communicating with the HEPA filter storage unit 16, sucks an exhaust flow, and discharges the exhaust flow to the outside. A deodorizing unit 2 is stored in a recess formed in the wall surface of an air duct so as to suppress the pressure loss caused when the main flow of the exhaust flow passing through the air duct which is constituted of the suction port unit 3, the dust collection unit 4, the HEPA filter storage unit 16, and the suction power unit 9, directly passes through the deodorizing unit 2, as much as possible.
