PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image stabilizing optical system that restricts rotation of an image stabilizing optical system about an optical axis during correcting blur while restricting size of the image stabilizing device in an optical axis direction to be compact. SOLUTION: The image stabilizing device includes: a movable member holding an optical system correcting image shake by moving in a plane perpendicular to an optical axis and movable relative to a fixed member in the plane; a guide member guiding the movable holding member while preventing from rotating in the plane perpendicular to the optical axis; three first rolling balls rollably interposed between the fixed member and the guide member; two second rolling balls rollably interposed between the guide member and the movable member; one third rolling ball rollably interposed between the fixed member and the movable member; and a biasing means biasing the movable member toward the fixed member. Two of the first rolling balls are rollable only in a first direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and the second rolling balls are rollable only in a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis, which is different from the first direction.
