PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample holder constituted so that measuring light is positioned at the center with respect to a plurality of samples different in size and shape by one sample holder without relying on the up and down movement of a stage. SOLUTION: The sample holder has a second base 12 moving up and down while rotating and the sample pressers 19 for holding the sample from both sides. The sample pressers 19 slide in connection with the up and down movement of the second base 12 to change a sample holding interval, a rotary stand moves upward as the sample becomes small and the sample holding interval becomes small as the sample becomes small.
