PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device improving fuel economy. SOLUTION: This cooling device 1 includes an engine body 3, a rotating shaft 31, a mixed flow fan 5, a straightening vane 7, a rotational speed changing section 8, and a distance changing section 9. The mixed flow fan 5 delivers air sucked from one side with a heat exchanger 4 arranged to the other side with the engine body 3 arranged, and ventilates a heat exchanger 4. The straightening vane 7 includes a through-hole 71 allowing the rotating shaft 31 to pass through, and an opposed surface 72 having approximately the same outer diameter as the outer diameter of the mixed flow fan 5 and opposed to the mixed flow fan 5, and is movably arranged along the axial direction of the rotating shaft 31 between the mixed flow fan 5 and the engine body 3. The rotational speed changing section 8 changes rotational speed per unit time of the mixed flow fan 5. The distance changing section 9 changes a distance from the mixed flow fan 5 to the opposed surface 72 by moving the straightening vane 7 according to the rotational speed per unit time of the mixed flow fan 5 changed by the rotational speed changing section 8.
