PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a storage medium having a communication function as a destination for storage. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus that stores image data obtained by imaging in a first storage medium having no communication function and a removable second storage medium having a communication function has a storing destination setting means that sets the destination to store the image data and a transmission setting means that sets whether or not the image data are transmitted to an exterior apparatus. When the transmission setting means makes the setting so that the image data are transmitted to the exterior apparatus, the storing destination setting means automatically sets the second storage medium as the destination for storing the image data obtained by imaging.
