PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a comfort of ride without degrading the appearance of a tire. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire 1 includes a carcass 6 reaching the bead core 5 of a bead 4 from a tread 2 through a side wall 3, and a belt layer 7 arranged on the outside in a tire radius direction of the carcass 6 and in the inner part of the tread. The carcass 6 includes at least a piece of carcass ply 6A having carcass cords 6c arranged at an angle of 75-90°in relation to a tire equator. The carcass ply 6A includes low ends plies 11 of which the number driven ends in the carcass cords 6c is 20-25 (pieces/5 cm) per a length of 5 cm in the tire circumference direction on the tire equator C. A buttress reinforcement layer 12 arranged adjacent to the low ends plies 11 and having an organic fiber cord 12c arranged at an angle of 10-35°in relation to the tire circumference direction is provided at each of buttress parts B on both sides.
