PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front pillar structure which prevents or suppresses a sectional collapse in a front collision while reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: A first closed cross section 34 in the extending direction of a pillar inner panel 26 is formed by the pillar inner panel 26 and a side member outer panel 32, and a second closed section 40 in the vehicle longitudinal direction is formed by an inner upper panel 28 and an inner floor panel 30 constituting the pillar inner panel 26. Thereby, the elastic buckling of the pillar inner panel 26 is suppressed upon a front collision, and the sectional collapse of the first closed cross section 34 is prevented or suppressed.
