<p>A method and device for implementing network mode selection, the method includes that: a dual-mode single-standby terminal or multi-mode single-standby terminal starts up measuring cells of a heterogeneous system according to a searching condition, which is set as always searching, for the cells of the heterogeneous system, and selects a preferable network in which to be on standby when the terminal finds out, by measuring the preset preferable network, that the preset preferable network meets a cell reselection condition. Under the condition of making no modification to the contents of existing protocols, the method implements the standby of the dual-mode single-standby terminal or multi-mode single-standby terminal in the preferably selected network under a certain preferable mode, and thereby network resource is fully utilized, and users are provided with better network services.</p> |
