<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium that reduces errors even when using a nonmagnetic support having a rough surface, in a magnetic recording medium having a nonmagnetic layer and a magnetic layer. <P>SOLUTION: A smoothing layer containing a first nonmagnetic powder of 50 nm or less average particle size, a curable resin, and 15-78 pts.mass of the binder to the 100 pts.mass of the first nonmagnetic powder is formed between the nonmagnetic support and the nonmagnetic layer, in a magnetic recording medium having a nonmagnetic layer and a magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic support. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
