<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller and a rotating machine reducing a flow loss by reducing a chunk of low-energy fluid generated in the rear half portion of a fluid flow passage. <P>SOLUTION: In this impeller 1 of the rotating machine, a flow direction is gradually changed from the axial direction to the radial direction from the radially inside of an impeller flow passage 10 toward the radially outside thereof. The impeller is equipped with: a hub surface 4; and a vacuum surface n composing the impeller flow passage 10. A swelling part b swelling toward the inside of the impeller flow passage 10 is formed in the corner 12 where the hub surface 4 and vacuum surface n which are positioned in the front half of an inlet 6 side of the impeller flow passage 10 and one rear half 11 as the rear half 11 thereof on an outlet 7 are brought into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
