<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key system for reducing battery consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic key system enables an ID verification between a vehicle 2 and an electronic key 1a through radio communication, and enables operation of a door lock and an engine installed on the vehicle 2 on the condition that the ID verification is established. The electronic key system provided on the vehicle 2 includes: a wake-up signal transmission section that transmits a wake-up signal Swk for switching the electronic key 1a from a sleep state to a wake-up state by a code string specific to each vehicle from the vehicle 2 when the ID verification is started; and a wake-up command output section provided on the electronic key 1a for doing wake-up verification that determines a code propriety of the received wake-up signal Swk and switching the electronic key 1a from the sleep state to the wake-up state when the verification is established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
