PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch devices for detecting the location of a user seamlessly moving indoors and outdoors at proper timing. SOLUTION: A location information providing system includes a mobile terminal and a positioning integrated device connected to the mobile terminal via a network. The location information providing system holds information about a positioning method for use in each of a plurality of areas, and the positioning integrated device determines a current location of the mobile terminal on the basis of information showing the location of the mobile terminal in response to reception of a current location acquisition request from the mobile terminal and determines whether the mobile terminal approaches a second area on the basis of information showing the location of the mobile terminal in the case of the mobile terminal being located in a first area and, in the case that it is determined that the mobile terminal approaches the second area, acquires information about a positioning method for use in the second area and transmits the acquired information to the mobile terminal.
