<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical thermometer which is fixed stably in the armpit of a subject and enables quick and correct body temperature measurement. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic clinical thermometer (100) which is held in the armpit of the subject and measures the body temperature of the subject includes a flat-plate-shaped body part (110) and a measuring part (120) which is formed in one end part of the body part and provided with a plurality of temperature sensing parts (122) for sensing the temperature. The measuring part has an outer peripheral surface (121) providing a circular-arc shape or an elliptic-arc shape and includes a cavity part (123) having an inner circumferential surface along the outer peripheral surface providing the circular-arc or elliptic-arc shape.
