PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveling machine performing the control required for leveling work by using a line drawn on a wall surface or the like close to a region requiring the leveling work as reference. SOLUTION: This leveling machine includes a leveling device (2) for leveling, a device (7) for changing a position of the leveling device (2) in the direction of height, a camera (8) for photographing the reference line (SL) for fixing a leveling reference face, a processing unit (9) for fixing the actual measured value of the position of the reference line (SL) in the direction of height by analyzing the video data photographed by the camera (8), and a controller (10) for controlling the device for changing a position of the leveling device (101) in the direction of height based on the actually measured value of the position of the reference line (SL) in the direction of height and a target value.
