摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which achieves effective and fully controlled cleaning of a blanket of a blanket cylinder. SOLUTION: The method is used for regulating a first printing unit 1 of the type comprising a plate cylinder PS1, a first blanket cylinder BS1 which is suitable for carrying a tubular blanket 4 and which defines a region of contact 9 with the plate cylinder PS1, and an impression cylinder BI1 defining a region of counter-pressure 5 with the first blanket cylinder BS1. The method includes, a regulating step of a duration greater than or equal to six minutes when the first printing unit 1 is printing. Regarding the angular printing velocityω1 of the first blanket cylinder BS1 relative to the angular printing velocityω2 of the plate cylinder PS1, for at least part of the duration of the regulation step, the ratioω1/ω2 of those angular velocity is different from the ratio D2/D1 between the nominal diameter D2 of the plate cylinder PS1 and the nominal diameter D1 of the first blanket cylinder BS1 in order to define the difference in velocityΔω=ω1-ω2×D2/D1.
