PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can suppress signal intensity from a fat component without using fat suppressing prepulse and acquire a highly contrasted blood flow image. SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging device for imaging a blood flow image of the head part of a subject includes: an area setting means to set an imaging area in a region including an eye pit of the subject and also set a prepulse area which is on the parietal region side of the imaging area of the subject and to which a prepulse for acquiring MT effect is applied; a prepulse sequence to apply a prepulse to the prepulse area; an imaging sequence setting means to apply an ISCE pulse with power larger to the eye pit side than that to the parietal region side to the imaging area; a means to collect magnetic signals acquired by applying the prepulse sequence and the imaging sequence; and a means to produce MIP images from magnetic resonance signals acquired by the collecting means.
