PORTABLE TERMINAL WITH RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION ANTENNA

Disclosed is a portable terminal with a radio frequency identification antenna featuring an improved configuration and installation structure for performing local area magnetic communication. The portable terminal having a housing made from a dielectric material, a shield that is formed on the inside or outside of the housing and a circuit block shielded by the shield, comprises: an antenna, which includes a core formed of a magnetic body and a coil wound around the core; and a conductor installed adjacent to the antenna at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the core. Therefore, the present invention is highly advantageous for accomplishing downsizing of portable terminals and ensuring a long communication range. In addition, the conductor can be replaced by a metallic structure mounted in the portable terminal.
