The invention relates to a silo with technology for drying and preserving rice in a single step, the principle of which consists in maintaining the atmospheric pressure inside the silo always below the external pressure. The main function of the silo is to dry and store the dried grain inside the silo without the need to move it or dry it in various stages. To this end, the walls of the silo have a robust structure to prevent them from collapsing, since as the atmospheric pressure inside the silo is lower than that outside, it will tend to collapse towards the centre thereof owing to the weight of the atmospheric air column. The silo is completely hermetically sealed, with a control system that regulates the entry of air into same, so that the difference between the internal pressure and external pressure can always be kept negative. Unlike current silos in which moisture is removed from the grain by forcing the air pressure from outside to inside, this invention is based on the opposite principle, namely sucking the air to the outside to keep the internal pressure lower than the external atmospheric pressure, thereby drying the rice without the use of fuel such as gas, oil, petrol, husks, wood, coal, etc. |
