PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus where the maintenance of the inside of a housing is facilitated. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus has an image display panel 2 and a circuit board 23 which controls the operation of the image display panel 2 accommodated in a housing 1, and, in the housing 1, an installation plate 13 for installing the circuit board 23 is arranged at a rear side of the image display panel 2. The installation plate 13 is coupled to the housing 1 by a hinge mechanism 92 and can be opened laterally toward a direction away from the rear face of the image display panel 2.
