<p>The invention relates to airplanes with folding wings and can be used in the design of vehicles for travel in the air and on the ground. The airplane comprises a cockpit, a propulsion system with a thrust propeller, an empennage mounted on the tail portion of the airplane, wheeled landing gear, a centre wing section with rotating outer wing sections connected thereto in an articulated fashion, and securing locks. The connection between the outer wing sections and the centre wing section is designed to enable rotation of said outer wing sections upwards and rearwards in relation to axes situated in a horizontal plane and diverging at an angle of 35° - 55° from the longitudinal axis of the airplane from the front portion thereof to the tail end, and to enable said outer wing sections to be arranged along the airplane with the leading edge at the top and facing the plane of symmetry of the airplane. The outer wing sections are locked in the folded position with the aid of stays, which are attached to the tail portion of the airplane. The wing is folded using a device for connecting, in articulated fashion, the outer wing sections to the centre wing section and securing said sections in the flight configuration with the aid of a lock. The technical result of the invention is that of simplifying the folding of a wing of an airplane, reducing the transverse dimension of the airplane and providing for rigidity and strength in the attachment of the outer wing sections, while reducing the loads on the assemblies in both the flight configuration and the folded state.</p> |
