<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional green-colored zirconia sintered compact contains a large amount of chromium and vanadium, has a strong bluish tone, has an insufficient balance between brightness and hue and does not sufficiently exert luxury texture inherent in zirconia. <P>SOLUTION: The green-colored zirconia sintered compact comprises: 2-5 mol% Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>as a stabilizer; ≤10 wt.% in total of silica and nickel oxide, or ≤10 wt.% in total of Zr-Si-V compound oxide and/or Zr-Si-Pr compound oxide as a colorant; and <0.5 wt.% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. The zirconia sintered compact has a value V of 4-7, a hue H of 5GY-10G and chroma C of 3-7 in the Munsell color system, has a sintered density of ≥5.85 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, exerts a luxury texture and a pearl-like gloss and has a green color not tinged with blue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
