<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump unit preventing inclusion of a scale component into a storage tank without decrease in the temperature within the storage tank when the generated scale component is removed. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump unit 30 is equipped with a heat pump 33 formed by annularly interconnecting a compressor 1, a liquid-refrigerant heat exchanger 2, a decompression device 3, and a gas-refrigerant heat exchanger 4 by piping so as to circulate a refrigerant in this order.
