<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem wherein problem information and effect information cannot be properly extracted from a patent document. <P>SOLUTION: This information output device includes: a sentence acquisition part acquiring a sentence from the patent document; a problem expression acquisition part acquiring, from the sentence acquired by the sentence acquisition part, an expression that is an expression appearing before an effect expression appearing before one effect clue expression, that is an expression appearing before one problem clue expression, and that is an expression after a comma or an expression after the beginning of the sentence as a problem expression; an effect expression acquisition part acquiring, from the sentence, an expression that is an expression appearing before the one effect clue expression, and that is an expression appearing after the one problem clue expression or that is an expression wherein the expression and the effect clue expression are connected as an effect expression; and an output part associating and outputting the problem expression and the effect expression.
