<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small lens barrel having stable telescopic operation, and an image pickup apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The lens barrel 3 includes: a drive ring 72 having a hollow cylindrical shape and rotatable around an optical axis by a gear 72b provided on the outer circumferential surface of the drive ring; and a focus lens holder 83 located inside of the drive ring 72, holding a focus lens 82, including an arm 83b extending to the outside of the drive ring 72, and configured to move in an optical axis direction relative to the drive ring. The drive ring 72 has a notch 72c which allows the arm 83b of the focus lens holder 83 to enter and retreat therefrom. The notch 72c of the drive ring 72 extends in a circumferential direction of the drive ring so that the notch 72c cannot overlap the gear 72b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
