<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power system monitoring control system capable of detecting abnormalities in the results of state estimation operation. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring control unit 1 of the power system monitoring control system 100 includes a state estimation processing section 2 for estimating the most certain state of a power system 10 based on a result obtained by evaluating an element value of an observation state based on an observation value collected by an observation value collecting device 11 and an estimation value by an evaluation function, an abnormality detection section 3 for determining an estimated state estimated by the state estimation processing section 2, and an information transmission section 5 for outputting the estimated state to a control unit 8 for controlling the power system 10 based on a result determined by the abnormality detection section 3. The abnormality detection section 3 compares an operation result calculated by a discriminant based on the evaluation function with a criterion to determine whether the operation result is abnormal.
