PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle having a high exercise effect while having an advantage and an effect of increasing an amount of the exercise of the whole body, that can be advanced by driving a vehicle body by the combination use of hands and feet, or only by the use of hands or feet. SOLUTION: The bicycle having the high exercise effect includes the vehicle body with a front fork for installing a front wheel inserted in a front post at its front end, and a saddle, a pedal type drive device, and a rear wheel arranged at its rear end, a gripping device with its bottom end pivotally connected to the front fork by a connecting rod, oscillatory forward and rearward with the connecting rod as a rotary shaft and synchronously rotated from side to side by driving the front fork and the front wheel, and a front wheel drive device interposed between the gripping device and the front wheel and connecting them. When the gripping device is operated and oscillated forward, the front wheel is rotated via the front wheel drive device, and the vehicle body is driven and advanced. The bicycle includes many kinds of drive conditions such as drive by the combination use of hands and feet, or independent drive by hands or feet, and has the advantage and the effect of boosting the amount of the exercise of the whole body.
