PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually recognize an explanation part by pointing an area of explanation and to link such indication on the actual part to a voice guide. SOLUTION: The exhibit explanation robot includes: a self-traveling means 11 for moving the robot to an intended direction; a voice guidance means 14 for reproducing a previously recorded explanation on an prescribed exhibit with voice; an instruction means 16 for instructing a laser indicating device 2 which can indicate the exhibit by a laser pointer 21 to irradiate a laser beam to a specified place of the prescribed exhibit; and a storing means 15 recording an executing procedure in a predetermined order by mutually associating timing for moving the robot to a prescribed explanation position by the self-traveling means 11, timing for the instruction means 16 to issue instruction to the laser indicating device 2 to irradiate the laser beam to the prescribed exhibit, and timing for the voice guidance means 14 to reproduce the explanation voice regarding the prescribed exhibit.
