Provided is a fluorescent compound which exhibits various improved performance in comparison to conventional fluorescent compounds and is suitable for color conversion material, in particular, such a fluorescent compound which emits fluorescence in the solid state. Also provided are a light-emitting body, a color conversion filter, a color conversion device, and a photoelectric conversion device, which contain the compound. Specifically provided are: a Schiff base type compound represented by general formula (I); and a coloring material, a color conversion layer, a light absorption layer, a color conversion filter, a light absorption filter, a color-conversion light-emitting device, and a photoelectric conversion device, which are produced using the compound.
