Provided is an oxide glass that comprises, in cation percentages, 20-40% of Si4+ and B3+ in total, 15-40% of Nb5+, Ti4+, W6+, and Zr4+ in total, 0.2-20% of Zn2+, Ba2+, Sr2+, and Ca2+ in total, and 15-55% of Li+, Na+, and K+ in total; and in which the ratio of cations in the amount of B3+ comprised in relation to the total amount of B3+ and Si4+ comprised is 0.01-0.5, the ratio of cations in the amount of Zr4+ comprised in relation to the total amount of Nb5+, Ti4+, W6+, and Zr4+ comprised is 0.05 or lower, the mole ratio of the total amount of Zn2+ and Ba2+ comprised in relation to the total amount of Zn+, Ba2+, Sr2+, and Ca2+ comprised is 0.8-1, the refractive index (nd) is at least 1.815, and the Abbe number (?d) is no higher than 29. |
