The vehicle (1) has a tempering device (3) tempering an automotive battery (4) that is thermally coupled with a heat exchanger (20), where the heat exchanger is formed as a component of a battery tempering closed loop (19). The tempering closed loop is thermally coupled with a surrounding area of the vehicle, a medium closed loop (14) of a thermal engine (8) and/or a fuel cell of the vehicle by another heat exchanger (21). The tempering closed loop is formed as a compression refrigerator, and comprises a compressor (22) and a throttle (23). An independent claim is also included for a method for tempering an automotive battery of a vehicle.
