The device has guide rollers (58, 58') movably mounted in a displacement direction (P4) and arranged in printed webs (12, 12') before a contact roller (50) in a transporting direction (P1). A drive unit i.e. electronic communicated motor, moves the guide rollers, and a sensor determines property of the webs. A wrapping angle is adjusted by the guide rollers, and the contact roller is in contact with the webs. A controlling unit controls the drive unit depending on the determined property of the webs. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing temperature of a printed web in a printer and a copier.
