<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent reflection sheet that allows a light beam emitted from a lamp to be diffused in one light guide plate and the diffused light beams to be emitted respectively from the front and the backsides of the light guide plate and which is used in a backlight unit suitable for irradiating two liquid crystal panels, which are arranged on both surfaces of the backlight unit, with respectively emitted light beams, and to provide the backlight unit obtained by using the translucent reflection sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The translucent reflection sheet, which is used in the backlight unit of a liquid crystal display apparatus having two liquid crystal panels on both surfaces of the backlight unit, includes a base material layer formed from a polycarbonate resin and titanium oxide particles incorporated in the base material layer and has a minutely rugged shape on the front surface or both surfaces of the base material layer. The average thickness of the base material layer is ≥30 μm and ≤200 μm. Preferably, the translucent reflection sheet has light transmittance of ≥1% and ≤30%, and light reflectance of ≥70% and ≤99%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
