PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control target arithmetic device improving the reliability in control of a controlled object. SOLUTION: The control target arithmetic device 1 outputs a control amount in accordance with an input value to the controlled object as a control target. The device includes an input ECU 3 creating input time series data that are the time series data of the input values, an arithmetic ECU 4 creating intermediate arithmetic value time series data that are the time series data of intermediate arithmetic values by calculating the intermediate arithmetic values corresponding to the respective input values of the input time series data by predetermined arithmetic processing, and a control ECU 5 selecting a selecting value in accordance with a first selecting condition out of the intermediate arithmetic value time series data and outputting the control amount calculated based on this selecting value as the control target.
