PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact package type compressor that can be operated in outside environment while preventing intrusion of rain water into the compressor. SOLUTION: To solve the above problem, in the package type compressor, an intake unit is constructed including: an intake box 19 provided with a fixed space 20 in the inlet of an intake opening 5a provided in a machine chamber 5; a louver 21 preventing intrusion of rain water obliquely falling into the machine chamber 5; and a duct 22 collecting the rain water intruded into a lower part of the space 20 overflowing the louver 21. An exhaust unit is constructed including: a fixed space 24 defined at an upper part of a cooling chamber 7 by a soundproof cover 23a covering a side face and by a soundproof cover 23b provided with an exhaust opening 30 and covering a ceiling; a shielding plate 26 intercepting the rain water falling into from the exhaust opening 30 in the space 24; a duct 25 provided for receiving the rain water; a mat 28 preventing splash of the rain water collided with the duct 25; a duct 27 collecting the rain water fallen in; and a hose 29 for discharging the rain water accumulated in the duct 27 outside the compressor.
