PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen bending moment added to an opening and closing lid opened to an open position. SOLUTION: A portable electronic device has the opening and closing lid capable of opening and closing an opening arranged on an external surface of the device by rotating around a rotation center located at a device internal side rather than the external surface of the device, and a support section for supporting the opening and closing lid from a device internal side while the opening and closing lid is rotatable around the rotation center in a state in which the rotation center is located at a device internal side rather than the device external surface and displacement outward in the rotation radial direction of the rotation center is permitted.
