PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a candidate substance for an anti-cancer agent capable of performing evaluation more reflecting clinical morbid conditions than a conventional method. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a candidate substance for an anti-cancer agent, using a rat as a non-human cancerous model mammal, is characterized by performing the process for evaluating the medicinal effect of the anti-cancer agent candidate substance, the process for evaluating pharmacokinetics and the process for evaluating safety using the rat of the same individual.
