<p>The embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and device for multi-antenna transmission. The method includes: performing the precoding process to the input data streams of traffic channels and control channels, and thus obtaining multiple precoded data streams; performing the precoding process to multiple orthogonal pilot data, and thus obtaining multiple precoded pilot data; obtaining multiple transmission data streams according to said multiple precoded data streams and said multiple precoded pilot data; and transmitting said multiple transmission data streams respectively by using multiple antennae. In the embodiments of the present invention, the orthogonal pilot data is precoded so that the precoded pilot data in the transmission data streams carries the related information of the precoding process, thus no need to use special signaling to transmit the precoding indication information and saving the cost of signaling.</p>
