OPTICAL ELEMENT AND LIGHTING FIXTURE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element capable of easily making a user remove oil and fat left for a long period while it sticks to the surface without requiring light for a photocatalytic effect.

SOLUTION: The optical element 1 for penetrating or reflecting light has an oil-repellent layer 12 on the surface of a base material 11. The optical element 1 becomes easy to repel the oil and fat 15 since a contact angle of oleic acid of the oil-repellent layer 12 is 50 degrees or more, and prevents the oil and fat from sticking to the oil-repellent layer 12, and prevents solidifying of the oil and fat by restraining oxidation of the stuck oil and fat 15 since an oxygen adsorbing agent 14 adsorbs oxygen 16 in the air. Thus, a user easily removes the oil and fat 15 even though the oil and fat 15 is left for a long period while the oil and fat 15 sticks to the oil-repellent layer 12. Furthermore, the optical element 1 makes the light penetrate or reflect without reducing exposure dose of light since light is not required to remove the oil and fat 15.
