<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce regeneration temperature of a particulate filter. <P>SOLUTION: In an exhaust emission control device equipped with the particulate filter 13 in a middle of an exhaust pipe 11, mixture of ceria (oxygen occlusion material) having characteristics temporarily occluding O<SB>2</SB>in exhaust gas when exhaust gas air fuel ratio is lean and discharging O<SB>2</SB>when exhaust gas air fuel ratio is rich, and silver oxide (metal catalyst) making O<SB>2</SB>discharged from the ceria active oxygen source by catalyst action is carried by the particulate filter 13, and a fuel addition nozzle 17 (fuel addition means) capable of intermittently adding fuel into an inlet side exhaust pipe 11 of the particulate filter 13 is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
