<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing a processing load on a management apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The management apparatus 10 is connected with a plurality of multi function units 60, 70, 80 in a communication-possible manner. The management apparatus 10 sequentially requests information to the plurality of multi function units 60, 70, 80 to sequentially obtain information from the plurality of multi function units 60, 70, 80. The management apparatus 10 selectively inquires information corresponding to a device setting function to the multi function unit 60 included in a group 1. The management apparatus 10 selectively inquires information corresponding to a firmware updating function to the multi function unit 70 included in a group 2.
