PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND SOLAR CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sensitized dye which is used in a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element and exhibits high light stability, and to provide a photoelectric conversion element with high photoelectric conversion efficiency and a solar cell that uses the element.

SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element includes a semiconductor layer supporting at least the sensitized dye on a semiconductor, and an electrolyte layer between a pair of opposite electrodes, and contains a compound expressed by general formula (1) as the sensitized dye.
