<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing or reducing unevenness of the liquid backwash pressure of hollow fiber membranes along the length of the fiber membranes. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of removing at least a part of liquid suspension surrounding the membrane; a step of introducing a chemical cleaning solution into the liquid suspension surrounding the membrane; a step of moving the chemical cleaning solution into the lumen of the hollow membrane through the wall of the membrane; and a step of making a gas act at a pressure below a bubble point, gradually displacing at least a part of the chemical cleaning solution inside the lumen through membrane pores and thus removing solids held on the hollow membrane or inside the hollow membrane into the liquid surrounding the membrane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
