PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in accuracy of positioning control of a head slider caused by deterioration in an end part of a piezoelectric element, in an HDD (Hard Disk Drive) having a head slider moved slightly by extending or contracting the piezoelectric element arranged on a suspension. SOLUTION: The HDD applies DC voltage having a predetermined voltage value to interconnection parts 261a, 261b formed by conductive adhesive of piezoelectric elements 206a, 206b, every time the HDD is started. Even if a long time elapses after turning off a power source and the interconnection parts become high resistance owing to deterioration, before reading or writing user data, good conductive state of the interconnection parts can be restored. Thus, the HDD can prevent the resistance value of the interconnection parts from adversely affecting positioning operation of the head slider in reading or writing user data.
