PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of controlling a temperature of a combustion chamber in waste melting furnace facilities, preventing running-up of a temperature of the combustion chamber by suppressing scattering amounts of a combustible gas and char after thermal decomposition in a waste melting furnace, and keeping and managing the most suitable temperature for the combustion chamber. SOLUTION: In controlling a temperature of the combustion chamber 2 for burning the combustible gas and a combustible residue generated in the waste melting furnace 1 where waste is charged from an upper section of the furnace, oxygen source is supplied from tuyeres 7, 8, 9 of several stages disposed at a lower section of the furnace, and ash contents and uncombusted materials in the melted waste are discharged from a bottom section of the furnace, a thermometer 6 for measuring a temperature of the combustion gas discharged from a burner disposed in the combustion chamber 2 for burning the combustible gas and the combustible residue, is disposed at a level where the combustion gas is discharged, and the distribution amount of oxygen source distributed from the tuyere of upper stage 7 and/or the tuyere of intermediate stage 8 and/or the tuyere of lower stage 9 among the tuyeres 7, 8, 9 of several stages is controlled according to the temperature of the combustion gas detected by the thermometer 6.
