PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new framework for effectively using a main memory connected to an empty socket of a plurality of CPU sockets of an information processing apparatus. SOLUTION: The adaptor 5 is to be installed to an empty socket of a plurality of CPU sockets 7a and b of a personal computer 1. Concretely, when a data write request to a main memory 11b connected to a second CPU socket 7b installed with the adaptor 5 or a data read request from the main memory 11b is received from a CPU 9 installed to a first CPU socket 7a, the adaptor executes processing according to the received access request.
