PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-efficiency wave power device of water column oscillation type, in which normally a certain quantity of air to make contraction and expansion repetitively nothing to do with the rotation of a turbine, is included, with a reduction in efficiency. SOLUTION: The wave power device is structured so that a cylinder is installed in an oil tank and the top and bottom of a float and the top and bottom of a piston supporting rod are respectively tied together so as to form one loop through pulleys, whereby the motions of the float moving up and down with waves are transmitted to a piston, and oil is fed from the cylinder into an air chamber, and a turbine power generator is rotated by the straightened oil sent out of the air chamber.
