A method and a device for recovering hydrogen pulverization dust of a raw-material alloy for rare-earth magnets are disclosed, with which it is possible to inhibit the dust resulting from hydrogen pulverization from remaining in a recovery chamber and to yield a rare-earth magnet having a reduced oxygen content and hence improved magnetic properties. The method is characterized by introducing an inert gas into a recovery chamber (40) by an inert-gas introduction means (12), subsequently conveying a treatment vessel (50) from a treatment chamber into the recovery chamber (40) through an entrance, evacuating the recovery chamber (40) with an evacuator (33), thereafter discharging a raw-material alloy for rare-earth magnets from the treatment vessel (50) into the recovery chamber (40), subsequently introducing an inert gas into the recovery chamber (40) by the inert-gas introduction means (12) to regulate the pressure within the recovery chamber (40) to a given value with the inert gas, and then recovering the raw-material alloy for rare-earth magnets through a discharge port (40a) and introducing the alloy into a recovery vessel (1). |
